When it comes this season’s fight against woody weeds, Farmoz is well placed to help resellers and their farmer customers with a first class suite of quality products to choose from.
The Farmoz range of herbicides is specially suited to help rid pastures of troublesome woody weeds and reclaim unproductive areas for grazing.
Shane Rudd, Farmoz State Manager in New South Wales, says the company’s range of premium products for woody weed control includes Fightback, Bobcat SL, Flagship, Safari and Wipe-Out Plus.
These products control a broad spectrum of noxious brush and woody weeds including blackberry, bracken fern, lantana, sweet briar, Eucalyptus and many others.
“This means that resellers can be confident that Farmoz has the herbicide range to meet their needs,” he said.
Bobcat SL (hexazinone) is a versatile residual herbicide for controlling a range of weeds including woody weeds in pine plantations, pastures, native woodland areas and even around agricultural buildings.
“A flexible choice, Bobcat can be applied by air, ground spray, spot gun or stem injection, depending on the use situation,” Shane said.
“It is a liquid formulation, so it is also very easy to handle in terms of measuring and mixing.”
One of the founding products in the range, Fightback (picloram and triclopyr) offers resellers and users peace of mind through board spectrum residual weed control, with more than 50 weeds on the label.
Shane said Fightback also offered users a flexible application window from spring through to autumn, depending on target species.
“This gives farmers more opportunities to rid their farms of problem noxious woody and herbaceous weeds through a variety of application methods,” he said.
“Farmoz has also extended the range to include a handy 2 litre pack this season, to cater for smaller applications where 1 litre is just not enough.”
Safari 600 EC (triclopyr) adds to the flexibility of the Farmoz range, providing a reliable option where a shorter plant-back period is preferred.
Safari can also be applied in a variety of ways, including basal bark, cut stump treatment or even helicopter application.
Shane said the woody weed package from Farmoz was completed with the addition of the Wipe-Out range including Wipe-Out Plus and Wipe-Out Bio.
“At 510 g/L, Wipe Out Plus is the strongest glyphosate formulation in the range and features a surfactant system which delivers excellent results through fast penetration and uptake by weeds,” he said.
